Top 3 tips for creating a day to night wardrobe

Top 3 tips for creating a day to night wardrobe

Sometimes you are so tired that the first thing you end up doing is laying down in the bed and never getting up. And some people (including me) have long commutes between work and home making it near to impossible to go home after work to change.
But with a proper day-to-night wardrobe, going out after work is a snap.

Warm weather options to consider are a tailored black blazer or a black bolero jacket, which is also a cinch to throw on in a pinch.
For shirts: Start building your day-to-night wardrobe by purchasing ready-to-wear pieces with tailored accents. For example the Guess Coraline top. The top features a scoop neckline with front-side pleating and is great for office wear.
When paired with a blazer or another tailored jacket you’re ready to go out for an evening of drinks and dinning. Play around with different top styles and cuts, but remember the look is in the details

The best skirts for day-to-night transitions are full skirts, flared skirts, pleated skirts and last, but certainly not least, pencil skirts.
The other trick with picking a skirt is finding colors that are bold at night and subtle in the office — think plums, corals and some blues. What’s really popular and great for day-to-night wear are skirts and dresses made with subtle yet bold print fabrics.
Just remember to bring a change of shoes for the end of the day if your outfit calls for it and you’re all set to take back the night and your social life!
