How to use a wire dress form to make your own clothes

• Use the patterns you’ve decided to use directly on to the wire dress form. Adjust seams by altering the point where they meet. Remember, you have to change the whole pattern if you want to make changes in any one area of the pattern. You will have to move the neckline, collar, button holes and sleeves.

• Keep making minor adjustments so you get it right. Do up the edges of the dress with a hem stitch on the dress form. Pin up any loose, rough edges at the required length. And voila, you have that perfect fitting dress.
