Three lovely dresses for the mother of a bride-to-be

As mother of the bride, you want to dress up classy enough to get admiring glances and yet subtly. After all, it is your daughter’s day. So, you have to think elegant and yet fashionable. But don’t forget the comfort quotient. Running around doing errands will be taxing and so pick something that flatters your
curves and yet gives you room to stretch your legs.
1.      Jacket dress

One of my favorites was Diane Keaton in ‘Father of the Bride’. She wore a knee length skirt with a classy, embroidered coat. The gloves and pearls complemented her ageing-gracefully style. 2.      Tasteful reds
Shun those pastels, navy blues and greys. Check out the chic organza gown that Hilary Clinton wore to daughter Chelsea’s wedding. It had classic floral detailing with contemporary design and yet apt shoulder coverage. 3.      Sheath dresses

If you are slim, then you can pick something in stretch satin also. Opt for knee-lengths as they are graceful. Avoid plunging necklines but don’t restrict yourself to high-necks.
