What to wear to a weekend on the beach

animal print blouses
When I head to the beach I always carry a cover up, which can double up as a casual top or dress. Since its the weekend, sudden plans always pop up. After keeping the sun-tan lotion, hat and towel, there’s hardly any room to store anything more. So, I prefer something that can be stored easily too.
One of my favorites here are animal print blouses available in versatile and trendy designs. I stick to tie-on halter necks or button down shirts because they are easy to pull on. I generally wear the swimsuit from home and just slip on the top over it for the sake of convenience. Who’s gonna queue up for the changing room!

I also prefer these tops in materials like jersey or chiffon as they require less space to store. Another good thing is that in case you wear them over a semi-wet body, they dry off rather easily. If you are just planning on a casual lunch on the beach or somewhere nearby, you can opt for a trendy animal print dress also.
Now remember that you can easily go wrong with animal prints, especially during the day. So, here are some fashion faux passé that you should remember-
  • Do not combine animal print tops and bottoms. Opt for solid color bottoms
  • Avoid shimmery tops during the day; you don’t want to appear sleazy
  • Accessorize with animal print shoes or bags, without overdoing it
  • Opt for small prints rather than bold or dynamic ones as they reflect too much light and also make you appear bigger
  • Loose shorts or skirts are easier to slip on as compared to tight denims with animal print blouses
