School supplies that are going green

Eco friendly backpacks
Summer starts soon, which means that a whole new school year is just around the corner. I think it’s never too early to start planning for all the school supplies I’ll need to pick up. Though it’s not required by schools, I highly recommend buying school supplies that have gone green. If we make sustainable choices, even for small things like notebooks and pencils, then we’ll help conserve the resources of our planet in the long run. Check out some of these interesting ideas for eco friendly school supplies:

Eco friendly backpacks
1.      Eco friendly backpacks
If you want something functional and practical, but not geeky, get an eco friendly backpack. Available in cool and trendy designs, these backpacks give you enough room to organize your school supplies and still have room for other things like a change of clothes. They come in peppy colors to add that pizzazz to your overall look.
2.      Recycled stationary
Check out cute notebooks and reams of paper made from recycled material. They help conserve the environment by using fewer trees to make the paper. You can’t avoid using paper for school, but recycled paper works just as well as non-recycled paper with the added benefit of being friendly to the environment.
3.      Reusable lunch box
I’m sure that most of you hate cafeteria food like I do! Instead of buying gross food at school, bring your own in a reusable and trendy lunch box. You can carry your favorite meals to school, and eat healthier than if you bought food there.
